Take A Rest...

detroit

~Rest~

Sometimes we forget this very simple word.

A couple of week-ends ago, I was blessed to go with  two special friends for a few days of "rest". This is the third year we have done this...and I do wonder why we all think we can live our lives without a little quiet and rest...it really does matter.
My sweet Grandmother would always call it "gathering her thoughts"....love it!

Sometimes it might just be an hour or so...not always a week~end...but the Lord does use it to renew our busy lives.

Time to share with friends...reading wonderful books...knitting...many cups of tea...watching a very lame movie(which I brought~so sorry Nancy and Sue) :)...time to prepare Amazing and Delicious meals...
~we each provide two meals~
Brilliant!

Have you ever tried Butternut Squash Pancakes with warm applesauce on top?

I know, I know...I wasn't sure either, when Nancy announced what she was fixing for breakfast the next morning...I'm not a real big squash eater, but these were so Wonderful!

And how about a Yumm Bowl??
You have NEVER heard of it? Neither had I, and while Sue was busy in the kitchen preparing, I was busy knitting away, and wondering what in the world a Yumm Bowl was going to be!

It was YUMMY!!!
