An Adventure...

A few months ago, hubby asked me where I would like to go for our FORTY year anniversary!

Well...that was an easy one...ITALY!!! I have always wanted to see Italy! Especially after one of our daughters traveled there a couple of years ago....loved her pictures!

A small problem....NOT in the budget! Sooooo....second choice....back to where we honeymooned FORTY years ago!

Cannon Beach!

We hadn't been back in forty years, just the two of us! We had driven thru as a family one time, and I had been back twice for Ladies Retreats, but it was probably time for us to try and find where we had stayed so long ago...of course, knowing the building itself would have been plowed under long ago, and some fancy~dancy condo unit would be sitting on the site!

Could we even find the spot?

Thus....our adventure! :)

Our first morning, we woke to this beautiful sky....yes, we could see some Blue sky peeking out!

A fun and delicious breakfast and...the best coffee ever at this great little place downtown Cannon Beach!

Sun was shinning...great walk, thru the little town to visit the shops...

A Delightful find...a Yarn Shop!

But how does a lady enjoy a yarn shop and not have a bored hubby?

As we went to go in, I turned and noticed a Candy Store across the street...hubby took off with a glee in his eye for sure!

And this is what I found, after a wonderful time in the yarn shop...

We both agreed...the best taffy we have ever found! :)

 

The next morning we drove up to Seaside for breakfast...very frosty, but Loving that Sunshine!

Enjoyed several gorgeous walks on the beach at sunset...

And..... what about our Adventure??

We Found It!

It was still there...Forty Years later!

Totally Restored...beautiful little cottages with these wonderful chairs sitting out in one of the little yards! Too Fun!
