Take A Hike...

It was meant in the nicest way...lets "Take A Hike"!!!

and so we did....two lovely ladies that I used to Home~School with...we went on a Fabulous Hike!!

Beauty all around us!

 

In Nov. 2006 a big storm caused part of the Milk Creek Glacier to break loose upon Mt. Jefferson.

With it a torrent of rocks and mud came crashing down upon Pamelia Creek. They have done an excellent job of rebuilding the trail.

 In some places Pamelia Creek was forced to carve new channels.

 We were in awe of the devastation to the area...Huge Douglas Firs laying like little match sticks...no problem seeing the exact trail of the glaciers path.

One of those sweet ladies even had prepared a delicious lunch for us to enjoy on the trail...we were sure ready to eat a bite...that doesn't mean the trail was difficult, just that we were hungry! :)

and who ever heard of a camera battery going dead...half way up the trail?? :)

no worry...we still had the best hike! :)
