So here we are...the last garden of our lovely day of "garden tours"!!
This garden is truly...a secret garden!
It is not easy to find...and you would really never even know it is down the little neighborhood road...but what a treasure to pull in and to enjoy it's many paths!
It is actually referred to as "Bishops Close"...Ilex looked up "close" as we were strolling thru the garden, and it is defined as the surroundings.
Again we were greeted by beautiful boxwoods...
and many delightful paths!
They were magical to follow...
sometimes having charming benches around the corner...
Little bridges always leading to an adventure!
The grounds overlooked the Willamette River...
All of us loved the wonderful little leaves of the maple trees...
We even spotted a little friend who came down to one of the little ponds of water for a quick drink...
And of course, this Nana had to take a picture of a Daphne plant!
Loved the beautiful old windows in the home...
And this old pipe with a trickle of water...so charming!
ahhh....more delightful paths...
Sweet blossoms....
And the sweetest little girls that enjoyed every step together!
A few more delightful blossoms...
before strolling back to our car!
We knew we had to watch the time...
they close the gates at five o'clock sharp!
As we finished up, we spotted the wonderful Gardener's Office...
We had to linger just a few more minutes...
it was so charming as we were walking back to our car...
Such a lovely setting...
A "must" to return and see it in other seasons, for sure!
"How fair is a garden amid the trials and passions of existence"
~Benjamin Disraeli~
Hope you enjoyed your day in the gardens!
