I decided today was the day!!
Soooo...

In The Garden and On The Book Stack...
We have had beautiful sunshiny days this spring, but the past several days we have had refreshing rain.
I went out and snapped a few pics to share what is in the garden today!! :)
Love those white roses with all the fresh spring green!!
And of course, we are always on the hunt for "Peter Rabbit"...
we actually have two REAL Peter Rabbits that visit the patio each morning... :)
L O V E the beautiful white Calla Lillies....
these are so special, our daughter Michelle, brought them from my Mom's yard 19 years ago!!!
Always enjoy these sweet pink verbena!!
And I have some lovely pink Geraniums waiting to be planted...
so fun to find my favorite shade of soft pink this year...at Costco! Imagine that!! :)

So thankful for the garden...
it is balm to my soul for sure!!
As for the book stack... I just finished reading a book that I have put off for years, tried to read it 4 years ago, and just too busy at the time working. So I picked it up once again this spring, and have been so blessed by it...
Ben Hur!
What a wonderful read, so thankful I kept giving it a try!!
I am also just finishing up, All The Light We Cannot See! This book has been at Costco for some time, and was highly recommended by my dear friend, Irita...TWO years ago! I am just getting to it, but so glad I am!! An excellent read for sure!
It takes place in France, during World War II.
It is our Book Club pick for this month by Cheri, and such an excellent read!
I turn every page reminding myself how blessed we are to live in freedom...
that we have food for today...
shelter, warmth in our home....
the list goes on and on!
As I was sitting reading it Saturday afternoon, my husband was reading thru old newspaper clippings that we had recently brought from his Mother's home...he said, listen to this...
it was a newspaper clipping of a letter his Dad had written from France during World War II...he was commenting how grateful the French were when the Americans came to liberate their country.
They were offering them their beds and all of their food.
I thought that was amazing that I was sitting reading about Germany occupying France and what those people were going thru, and then to hear Mike's Dad's account of coming into France, and how gratefully they were received by the French people!
Hope you are enjoying your garden as well,
and a good book too!! :)

What beautiful flowers. Aren't you thankful that Michelle had the foresight to "rescue" those lovely callas?! Glad to see you back.
