Planting...

YEP!

FAVORITE day of the year...going to the garden nursery and choosing all those darling little plants to bring home and Plant in my garden!
Did I mention it was my favorite day of the year? :) planting Picking those sweet little posies, to put in just the right pot, to put in just the right spot...Love It!

Sooooo....I had a "special planting" of the Lord happen in my life today...thought I should share the blessing!

Probably about two years ago, I borrowed several books from my sweet Mother-in-law....she has a wonderful collection of old books, a lot of biographies, etc. In January, I had made my stack of books to get read...remember the picture? Well, the book that was on the very bottom kept catching my eye. Last week, I just decided to pull it out and get it read. It  BLESSED me so much...a autobiography of Gladys Alward...The Little Woman.
She was a missionary to China in the 1930's and left for China with less than $10.00 in her purse. Her simple trust in the provision of God was so refreshing to read...and it really stirred my heart for China!

Soooo....Sat. night Mike and I went to Prayer meeting at our church and spent time in prayer
with this wonderful couple that have been missionaries to Brazil for 11 years and feel the Lord leading them to China....they leave in July! This morning the Lord woke me with the great little book and spoke into my heart to take it to them, explaining to them that it wasn't mine, but knowing Mike's Mom would love for them to read it.

As I stood in line to speak with TaLisa (the missionary wife) she glanced my way and saw the book. As I extended it to her, her eyes lit up and she excitedly reached for it....saying over and over..."oh, I have wanted to read this book so much!" She had read others of Gladys Alward, but not her autobiography, and had heard such encouraging words about it. She was more than thrilled.....she kept hugging the book and thanking me, and hugging the book...

On the way home, I couldn't help but think of God's "planting" of all of this...

Two years ago "borrowed" the book, last week "pulled" the book from the bottom of a stack, Saturday evening "went" to the prayer meeting, early Sunday morning "heard" the Lord whisper in my heart....."take the book"....
He is indeed always at work doing a Good Planting in our lives, even when we see nothing happening. The world would call all of this "chance"..........but TaLisa would call this the Goodness of the Lord! planting3 Happy Planting...
 planting4 Enjoy those little blossoms!
