The Gathering!

4115

This is a story of "old friends"!!

We really do not consider ourselves "old" at all...in fact we all decided we are quite "young" yet!

The story begins with Rosy and I as babies in the nursery at First Baptist Church in Prineville, OR about 58-59 years ago!
Yep...I just gave our ages! :) Elaine came along...right after that, I believe...and then along came Cindy around the time we were in 4th grade. Next, Pam and her family moved to Prineville about the time we were in Middle School and then Carol, when we were in High School.

We all became friends...and the friendship has continued over these (short) years! :) 41

A Big thank~you to Rosy for keeping us connected as the years have traveled on.

We have written "Round Robin" letters over the years when our children were little...and as life became so busy for all of us that got dropped, but Rosy is so good to keep us "re~gathering"!

So...here are some pictures of our Gathering a few weeks ago in Prineville...at Rosy's beautiful home.

Of course...we must begin with the old pictures...too fun!

That was Friday night...with so much to catch up on!

And then came Saturday...met Carol for lunch and "toured" Prineville!

After lunch...we spent some fun time at the Bowman Museum...great time of finding so many interesting facts about Prineville and Crook County.

Here is Rosy standing by an old sign with her Dad's name on it...in fact, her Dad, Dr. Wood, delivered me! His picture is under Rosy's!

They all decided I should stand behind the old bank marble counters, since my Mom spent many years working at a bank in Prineville. Do I look like a banker?

and how about...
~Beautiful quilts that traveled over the Oregon Trail~

Then off to explore some cute little shops...Prineville will Always have a special place in all of our hearts!

Next...out to Rosy's home that she grew up in...with her sweet Mom that came just in time for me to get a wonderful picture of them together!

Mrs. Wood was always so kind to me...children remember those things for sure!
A very special lady!

One of Rosy's sisters and her husband now live in the home...and they shared their wonderful garden with us...

and here we are...the wonderful "old friends" getting to have a "gathering"!

We are very blessed!
