Ahhh....
I just finished this lovely read!
It has been patiently waiting for me, for several years on my book shelf.
I have loaned it out many times...and have heard sweet words about this oldie...so it was time...time to dust it off, and after the holidays to curl up and enjoy!
And that I did!
For sure I can say I came away "better"....after all,
a good book should inspire one to live "better"!
The main character was so forgiving and unselfish...
that is enough right there to work on for the rest of my life :)
The "love of books" has been in my life since I was a little girl.
My Grandparents gave me a book one year for Christmas when I was in the 6th grade...and it sealed this great love to open a beautiful new book!!
Before that, I had already been enjoying the library and books from school, but there was something very delightful to be gifted with a book.
Ahhh.....and the anticipation of a new book!
It really can't get much better!
And what did we do without Amazon Prime?
So...this is my little stack that has collected for the new year...so far! :)
The Bonhoeffer book has been so highly recommended...
another dear friend just mentioned she has just finished it, and hubby has even beat me to it, so I will move it up a few books, for sure.
And I am so looking forward to beginning this read of a charming story set in England...
I'll let you know :)
Would love to hear what you are reading...
Please do share!
So blessed to have "good books"!!

I remember you saying to me years ago that when your husband asked you what you would like for your birthday, you responded, "two hours alone in a used bookstore". Perfect gift for you!
That is funny you remember that! I still think that would be a great gift! And what good book are you enjoying, on these cold winter nights?
I need to read A Girl of the Limberlost again...
